Cliffhangers htgawm Full view

This week has been beautiful weather all around. It even makes me giddy. 5 escape rooms later and 3 days of work presentations later, I am back in Toronto.

Onto the main point. Cliffhangers. OH. MY. GOD. What was with that season 1 finale of How to Get Away with Murder? We finished season 1 in a week and felt that it could possibly have been 5 episodes shorter than it was, but that finale was really good. I think the last finale I really enjoyed that much must have been Good Wife Season 1 and 2 finales. I understand it… really I do… But WHY does every show I watch give me a cliffhanger where I want to be like I CAN’T WAITTTTTT!!!

I had a discussion last night about what makes for a good season finale episode. It provides some sort of resolution to tie up season 1 but throws you a new problem. This show did that for us. I find that it’s very common these days for shows to throw shocking things at you and then just keep going with no real resolution. That is frustrating and it’s what we thought was going to happen. Thankfully, we received a nice little gift at the end there. Won’t spoil that for those who haven’t watched it yet.

On another note, I think it’s about time I got back to working on my Iceland scrapbook… :)

  • Agreed on all points. The best series do one better and lay the seeds, throughout the current season, as to what’s going to happen the following season. This is why I enjoy Agents of Shield (I should get a t-shirt or something to show that I am a fan of the show). The thought that goes into that show to tie it in with the bigger Marvel world is impressive.
